Aylynn is a professional counsellor and member of the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association with many hours logged in counselling, street outreach, and case management. Aylynn's experience in management is also extensive. She worked for a variety of corporations on large projects including:
Aylynn is committed to building on the work that Michael Jewell began. Michael stabilized the program during a period of transition and change, and he expanded the team and worked enthusiastically to promote a positive work environment. He gives a lot of credit to the Samaritan House team for their commitment to caring and there is no doubt that each and every employee contributed to a dynamic season of energy and growth. Many routines and practices have been and are being standardized and we are very happy to see the general increase in organization and order. The program has a renewed commitment to safe accessible shelter. Michael did an excellent job and we are very thankful to have benefited from his expertise and many hours of work. We believe that Aylynn's training in crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, and empathic listening will compliment her natural abilities for organization and efficiency in the challenging work environment of our shelter. Someone with her energy, training, and clear thinking will strengthen the team and encourage cohesion and effectiveness. Michael and Aylynn will work together for the month of December to insure a smooth transition and integrate suggestions from all employees into a formula for continued success. If you have suggestions or would like to send a welcoming note to Aylynn you may contact her at: amarsh@iccare.ca Visitors will find the usual content about who we are and the programs we operate, but you will also find society documents free for download on topics like our management philosophy and our research on emerging trends in social housing. We will be adding documents to the document download page monthly and even more will be available to our staff when they log securely into the site. In the future our financial statements and policies will also be available for viewing. This is all part of our plan to be transparent and open to our community and our funding agencies.
